QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS I (March 10th)
These are some of the questions Helen has recently been asked, and here are her answers!
Q. What are your goals for the future? and do you see yourself as a popstar?
A. One thing is clear in my mind – my goal in life is not to become a Popstar! (as interesting and entertaining as I’ve found the programme) Personally I don’t have any ambition to go there. I would honestly rather be a cleaner or serve in a shop!
Q. So why are you doing your music?
A. To bring a bit of joy, and hope into people’s lives. I believe I’ve been given a gift and I want to use it.
Q. Are you looking forward to going back into the music business?
A. Who said I was thinking of 'going back into' any music business!, or any particular scene. Frankly it’s just not for me.
Q. Do you intend to do any concerts in the future and if so, will you please put them up on the site?
A. Yes, I would love to do concerts in the future, and I’m sure I will, as long as this body of mine will allow me to! In fact I do have 2 dates booked for July.
Q. Have you written any songs this year yet?
A. I recently wrote a song called ‘No matter what happens’ one morning. The previous day I had been saying to my husband, “You know,I really need to write some new songs, but I don’t feel anything coming”. And the next morning as I sat up in bed reading Psalm 34, I wrote the lyrics and music (in my head) within 20 minutes. I was amazed, as I generally don’t function in the morning!!
